From our Execs

Hello Lovers,

We hope your Memorial Day Holiday was great!! We spent our time helping our family paint a garage and trimming bushes back into a managable hedge. It was good to spend time with them and it reminded us of how very important family is to us and how much we need each other. Well, we need you too!! Especially within the WWME movement. It has become very clear to us in this leadership position that we cannot do very much by ourselves. We (Garry & Arla) have some of the talent and time needed to do the work but there is so much to do and so much more that we could do for Him if we work together for His purpose. We need your energy, enthusiasm and love for each other to inspire and challenge us. If you are not already using your couple power and talents for WWME would you please consider committing to a higher calling - changing the world! WE NEED YOU! We would love to sit down with you and help you discover where your talents could make a difference in our encounter area. Please give us a call (847) 658-1585 or email if you feel the call to this ministry.

We'd like to share some of the great things happening right now in the Rockford/Madison/Milwaukee Encounter. We saw many of you at the Puttin' on the Ritz Phantom of the Opera Ball. We had a great time and loved seeing you all dressed up and having a fun time. This dance is one great way couples come together to keep us continuing our journey we began on our weekend. We especially want to thank those couples on the core committee who made this dance possible they are: Lee & Jan Kremer, Bob & Sharon Traub, Roger & Jan Duet, and Tom & Jan Schneider. These couples only met twice and pulled this off!!! This annual event needs couples to put it all together for next year. Call Lee & Jan Kremer at (847) 658-9096 if you'd like to be involved. It only takes 3 or 4 couples and a little imagination!!!

Our Inviting Coordinators, Tim & Jackie Walsh, have come up with an invititng idea for each month. These are simple ways that all of us can invite couples to the Weekend or make WWME visible within our communities. You can find the invititng idea for June right here in the eSpirit!! If you have inviting ideas or if God is calling you to be part of the inviting community please contact Tim & Jackie at (630) 554-2779 and share it with them. They'd love to hear from you!!

Do you feel like camping? Join us for the WWME Rockford/Madison/Milwaukee Family Campout for June 24-26 at the Hickory Hills Campground in Edgerton, WI. If you've never been camping this is a great intro! What better way to learn the ropes than to be surrounded by fellow WWME families. Roger & Jan Duet are taking reservations and time and space is limited so call them today at (630) 443-3984!!! We want to see you there!!!

The next WWME weekend in our encounter area is September 9 -11 at the Bennedictine Abbey in Benet Lake, WI. This retreat center has beautiful grounds next to a lovely lake. If you are thinking of experiencing another Weekend, we encourage you to register for this one. It is a very peaceful and comfortable retreat center and it's always good to tune up our relationships by revisiting the Weekend experience. We also want to ask you to invite couples to the next three Weekends. There are many fall anniversaries and what a great gift to give that special couple! Along with the September weekend, we have October 14-16 and November 18-20. Both of these will be at the Bishop Lane Retreat Center in Rockford, IL.

Keep inviting!!! It's Exciting!!!!

We love you!!
Garry & Arla

Inviting idea of the month

May was Mother’s day, and June is Father’s day! It’s the start of summer and outdoor activities. Remember, Mothers in love + Fathers in love= Families in love. While you are out at your kids sporting events, playing golf with your friends or visiting the old water hole with your family, make sure you're wearing your Marriage Encounter t-shirt, pin or cap. Be sure to have your date cards and brochures handy for when the question comes up “What does this sign mean?” You want to be prepared to share how your family became so in love!

Pray the Rosary

Does your community meet to pray the Rosary for the sake of the Worldwide Marriage Encounter Movement? If you do, let The eSpirit know, so they can post it. If you don't, please think about starting one.

The Presenting Team community prays the Rosary at 7:00 pm on the 1st Thursday of every month. The evening is open to all Encountered couples and their families. We all know the power of prayer, so pray the Rosary as often as you can.

Check the website for more information on location and dates or call Ben & Jane Deutsch at (630) 377-0635.
